"We instructed Dr Monaci in a housing possession case to assess our client's mental capacity and fitness to plead. Years of alcohol dependency had caused our client alcohol-related brain damage and dementia. Due to our client's challenging behaviour, his landlord issued possession proceedings and he was threatened with homelessness.
Dr Monaci was instructed at short notice with an urgent Court deadline pending. Dr Monaci's report was prepared extremely quickly and was very impressive; thorough, well-reasoned and CPR compliant. Dr Monaci took the time to fully assess our client, which was difficult given his challenging behaviour. In addition, Dr Monaci kindly offered to visit our client at his nursing home for the assessment. Dr Monaci's report was extremely beneficial not only to our client's legal case, but also in diagnosing our client's complex conditions and ensuring he receives proper care in the future.
I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Monaci." Jodie Green, Associate, Russell-Cooke incorporating Alan Edwards & Co
"Dr Monaci provided a highly professional service throughout her instructions. She always responded in a timely manner to our many enquiries which helped us to manage our clients’ expectations. Her investigations were pursued sensitively but exhaustively and her reports were well structured. She was also careful to provide accurate estimates of her fees prior to costs being incurred, which was important to our clients who were funding the case on a private basis." Sarah Sabin, Partner for Gateley Plc
"I instructed Linda to assesses and report on an adult client who had sustained a brain injury during a neurosurgical procedure. It was a pleasure to work with Linda; she fully understood her role as an expert and her instructions, and she provided thorough, balanced and well-reasoned reports within the allotted time scales. The injury produced subtle deficits and Linda's expertise and analysis were very helpful to us in the quantification of damages. It was always easy to reach her for a discussion during the course of what turned out to be a long running case. I would not hesitate to instruct her on future cases." Cecily Cameron, Partner, Henmans Freeth.
"I instructed Dr Monaci to assist in a claim of the utmost severity. My client had been involved in a
terrible accident and had suffered devastating injuries.
It was obvious to me that Dr Monaci had read every page of the voluminous medical, rehabilitation,
care and other records; carefully considered medico-legal reports, lay witness evidence and other
relevant documents and thoroughly assessed (and later re-assessed) my client.
Dr Monaci's grasp and understanding of her instructions ensured she provided well constructed,
thorough, clear and persuasive evidence. She noted a severe decline in all cognitive domains;
explained how that would affect my client permanently and made detailed, costed
recommendations for continuing rehabilitation.
I have no doubt Dr Monaci's evidence was an important factor in achieving the right result for my
client, whose future is now secure."
Mark Tawn, Solicitor, Davey Law Solicitors, Cirencester
