Medico-Legal Services

Dr Monaci is a Registered Expert Witness and since 2009 she has provided independent reports for solicitors' firms and agencies. She conducts neuropsychological assessments (including cognitive and emotional functioning) through clinical interview, behavioural observations, psychometric testing and review of records. She also offers neuropsychological rehabilitation services (including cognitive strategies and CBT) to support recovery from acquired brain injuries.

Consulting Rooms
Dr Monaci offers medico-legal assessments mainly in London (Ten Harley Street and London Bridge) and in New Malden, Surrey. In addition, she has access to offices in several locations in the UK and clients are also seen at alternative locations, such as near to, or at, their home or at a care home (when clinically appropriate).

Registration as an Expert Witness
Dr Monaci has been an independent Expert Witness since 2009. She receives instructions from claimants (60%) and defendants (40%).

Average Timescale for the Report Submission
Individuals are typically seen for the assessment within 1-2 weeks. The report takes approximately 2-4 weeks to prepare after the appointment (i.e. assessment). Urgent assessments and subsequent filing of a report will usually be accommodated within a short time frame.
